Modern Meets Vintage in Scandinavian Style

If I had to describe my style when it comes to home interiors I would say it's a little bit modern meets vintage...with a splash of Scandinavian style...and the occasional Moroccan influence - a bit of a mishmash basically!

I can't do ultra modern, I like a bit of character and charm in a property, but then, I can't do clutter either - so I sit somewhere in between, which is probably why I like Scandinavian brands like House Doctor and Tine K so much. They seamlessly blend the two together beautifully. Scandinavian style in general tends to combine simple modern lines with wood and natural materials such as a fluffy sheepskin rug to add warmth and character.

I love the look of this room, it is calm and light but cosy at the same time, with the addition of a large Moroccan rug and naturally warm vintage leather sofas.

This image by House Doctor has that perfect mix of modern and vintage; the rustic wood mirror and Sissy Rug add the vintage charm with the industrial table and lamp adding a dash of modernity.

This image by Tine K Home gives another example of modern meeting vintage. I love the simplicity of this scene, the faded pink walls and lacy curtain give the room a vintage look but the upholstered black headboard and shiny white floors are very contemporary. The Pampille shades from Tine K Home add a touch of "modern vintage" too.
